From the President...
Garden Club Friends, we have a busy two week period here. Let’s take this in sequence. This Saturday, May 5, from 7 a.m. until ? is our long-awaited Garden Club Plant Sale. There is still some organization to be done this week, signs to made, prices to be determined, but it will be done before Saturday morning. Plants will be loaded onto trailers Friday afternoon and evening for unloading on Saturday morning. We will unload and place in predetermined places for sale on Saturday.
If you signed up to assist Saturday morning, please take note that you must be there at or before 6:30 a.m. Instructions will be given at that time. Keep in mind that the Farmers Market will also be opening, the Sale on the Trail is there and there may be people all over the place setting up, we hope. You may park anywhere ( the bank parking lot is good), but please do not park at the furniture store, as that is reserved for customers on Saturday. Doniece will be taking care of her part of Farmers Market with her tomatoes and I will be pulling double duty with plant sale and Farmers Market. So we need you!!!!
Even if you did not sign up for something, please come on out and enjoy the day. Your presence and any assistance is appreciated, believe me!
Our next meeting is Thursday, May 10, in Nacogdoches at the Bradberrys’home. What a wonderful way to end the Garden Club year, with a Garden Party!!! We will meet at the parking lot of the Baptist Church (CAB) at 11 a.m. If you can take a car, let it be known. I have found that it is easy to just “ show up and divide up”. There will be directions given at that time.
Now, we need a count as to number. If you will please let me know if you are going, it would be wonderful. There will be no program, just food and fellowship. But a few “odds and ends” of business items are on the agenda. Thank you, Sharon for inviting us. Thank you, hostesses for all the work. If you have not seen her home, you will definitely want to.
Take a deep breath and say, “It’s okay”.
Linda
