Sour Cream Pound Cake

- 3 cups sugar
- ½ pound of butter
- 6 very fresh whole eggs
- 3 heaping cups of cake flour
- ¼ t baking soda
- 1 8 ounce carton sour cream
- 1 t vanilla flavoring
Directions
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature
- Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes
- Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition
- Combine flour and baking soda
- Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream to creamed mixture
- Add vanilla
- Beat on low until blended
- Pour into a Bundt cake pan sprayed inside with Bakers Joy (for easy release)
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
- Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cook completely.
