Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • 3    cups sugar
  • ½   pound of butter
  • 6    very fresh whole eggs
  • 3    heaping cups of cake flour
  • ¼   t baking soda
  • 1    8 ounce carton sour cream
  • 1    t vanilla flavoring
 
Directions
  • Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature
  • Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes
  • Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition
  • Combine flour and baking soda
  • Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream to creamed mixture
  • Add vanilla
  • Beat on low until blended
  • Pour into a Bundt cake pan sprayed inside with Bakers Joy (for easy release)
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
  • Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cook completely.
